Lost in the trees today...

OK, so what was i thinking this morning? some people ask what it is like to have 3 young kids (ages 5, 3, and 1) well, let me tell you about my afternoon... today was a half day at school so i was facing about 5 hours of me and 3 energized little beings in the house with hundreds of the same old toys that never get touched. it is rather cold out and we have over a foot of snow on the ground, not really a good day to play outside. We already watch way too much Backyardigans around here, so i decide to take everyone to a local museum. thankfully it was not very crowded but i am carrying baby K while D and M are off looking and touching everything. things are ok (i.e. no one is crying) then M tells me she had an accident - and not the wet kind either. she has been potty trained for 4 months and this is the first accident outside of the house - and a messy one at that, ugh! After i get her cleaned up it is getting close to dinner time. With nothing at home i give into the pleads for McDs. who knew they now have TV in McDs? With baby K being fussy while refusing to eat her nuggets and D and M have their shoes off and are running between the seats while watching Spongebob - i had enough. So we go home for the bath and bed routine , where baby k decides to do her business in the bath! Not again!?!? So that is my afternoon in a nutshell. It is 8:27 and the house is quiet and i can appreciate that!
